How does a dry ridge system work? Each ridge tile is screwed down with clips and union pieces onto a dry ridge roll, rather than being bedded in mortar. The system holds every tile securely against wind lift while a built-in ventilation gap lets the roof space breathe, which helps prevent condensation and damp in the loft. There is no mortar to crack, so there is no repointing to pay for down the line.

What does the installation involve? We remove the old mortar and ridge tiles, prepare the ridge line, then fit the dry ridge system with colour-matched components so it blends with your existing roof. Most installations take one to two days depending on the length of the ridge and the roof layout.

Pricing runs from £80 to £120 per linear metre, confirmed after a site assessment where we measure the ridge and check the condition of the surrounding roof.
